WindNODE is a partner project in which individual subprojects work on four central shared fields of action. Under the heading “Flexibilities, Market and Regulation”, a market mechanism (“flexibility platform”) for the use of flexibility to support the grid is demonstrated in the scope of one of these fields of action in cooperation between system operators and flexibility suppliers. Furthermore, specific recommended actions are elaborated for the corresponding further development of the regulatory framework.
The professional reflection on basic questions in this context has led to the development of six theses that are formative for the work of WindNODE in this field of action and that are now available as the “Flexibility Thesis Paper”. The plan is to elaborate detailed WindNODE publications on each of the six theses as the project advances. These publications should enable an in-depth consideration and contextualisation, and be able to be introduced in the energy industry debates as a WindNODE contribution.
