Opening of the “Energy and Art” exhibit during the Long Night of the Sciences

How can one visualise the energy transition and make people embrace it through art? This is the central approach of “Energy and Art”, which discusses and formulates the common visions of a successful energy transition in a group. These visions are then ‘translated’ by an artist. During the Long Night of the Scientists, more than 30 works of art, which are the result of the project so far, were exhibited. Together with the visitors, three more works of art were created that evening. In lively discussion rounds with a wide variety of participants, aged 9 to 90 years, Markus Graebig (Project Manager for WindNODE) and Professor Georg Erdmann of TU Berlin discussed the visions - inspired by the exhibited pictures created so far - and young artists immediately translated these into new works of art on the spot. Some of the works of art resulting from the “Energy and Art” project will be exhibited at the WindNODE visitor sites. The entire exhibit will be on display during "Energy in Motion" at the TU Berlin during the course of the year.
