Within WindNODE, the innovative high-temperature storage facility in a residential quarter in Tegel-Süd was realised by Gewobag, Vattenfall Energy Solutions and Lumenion in one year.
Lumenion's technology is used to store peaks in regional renewable energy production for grid use. The Gewobag housing estate is integrated into the district power and local heating supply, which is operated by Vattenfall Energy Solutions. Thus, the Gewobag housing estate can be supplied with electricity and heat from wind and sun.
