Lidl showcase branch store of the Schwarz Group [ARCHIVED]

At Lidl, Kaufland and the production facilities, the efficient use of renewable energy is researched.

The Schwarz Group presents its commitment to the WindNODE research project in showcase branch stores of its Lidl and Kaufland retail companies.

Interactive 3D model tables and touch screens are used to visualise the current or future energy supply of branch stores and markets.

The aim is to present the energy transition and the WindNODE topic in a clear and easily explained manner. The self-designed models are an appealing way to show the correlations and research subjects in and outside of the branch stores. Furthermore, video terminals are available at various places in the branch stores for illustration purposes. In addition there is a 252 kWh battery storage on the parking lot of this store. This enables the practical experiment of flexibility options at the flexibility platform. Supply and Demand are supposed to meet here according to flexibility.

Visit our showcase branch stores and learn more about the Schwarz Group’s contribution to WindNODE!
